For students in India ready to sign up with ACCA: the eight registration steps, the documents to scan first, and what you pay in year one.
You can register for ACCA on any day of the year. There is no admission window and no entrance test. The whole thing is one online form that takes about 10 minutes — if your documents are ready before you open it.
Here is exactly what to do.
ACCA accepts students at two entry points. Most Indian 12th-pass and graduate students go straight into the ACCA Qualification. If your marks do not meet the entry rule, you start at Foundation level instead and move up. Your marks decide the entry point, not your age or your city.
This is the step that decides whether you finish in 10 minutes or spend three weeks emailing ACCA. You need scans of:
| Document | What ACCA accepts |
| Proof of identity | Passport, national ID card (such as Aadhaar), driving licence, or a copy of your birth certificate |
| Proof of qualifications | Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets; degree certificate and full transcripts if you are a graduate |
| Professional qualifications (if any) | CA / CA Inter / CMA / CS mark sheets or membership certificate |
| Translation | Only if a document is not in English — it must be translated and stamped by a licensed translator |
Scan in colour, keep every page of a transcript, and make sure your name is spelled the same way on all of them. A mark sheet that says "Rahul Sharma" and a passport that says "Rahul Kumar Sharma" will get your file put on hold.
Go to accaglobal.com and start a student application. You do not need an account first — the form creates one. You can save a half-finished application and come back to it later, so a slow scan is not a reason to stop.
Registering through a learning provider? Then you do not start the form yourself. The provider invites you from their ACCA login, and you receive an invitation email from ACCA with a link to register. Use that link to fill in the same application, so the provider’s discounts are applied to your account.
Name exactly as on your ID. Date of birth. Address in India. Then every qualification you hold, with the board or university name, month and year of the result, and your marks.
Upload them inside the form. Do not email them separately unless ACCA asks. Uploading everything in the form is the difference between a 5-working-day turnaround and a 10-working-day one.
The one-time initial registration fee is currently £30. That is about ₹3,900, at about ₹130 to the pound, as of October 2026.
You must pay by credit or debit card to finish the application online. It has to be a card enabled for international transactions — many Indian debit cards are not, by default. Call your bank and turn it on before you sit down to register, or use a card that already works abroad.
If you applied fully online with all documents attached, ACCA registers you within 5 to 7 working days. If you had to send anything by email, allow 10 working days from when they receive it.
You then get an ACCA registration number and a MyACCA login. MyACCA is your student portal — exam bookings, fees, results and documents all live there.
If you hold a B.Com, CA Inter, CA, CMA or a recognised degree, you may be exempt from some of the 13 papers. Use ACCA’s exemptions calculator before you apply so you know what to expect. Exemptions are not free — you pay per paper you skip:
| Exemption | Fee | About INR |
| Applied Knowledge paper (BT, MA, FA) | £86 | ₹11,200 |
| Applied Skills paper (LW, PM, TX, FR, AA, FM) | £114 | ₹14,800 |
An exemption still saves money, because the exam it replaces costs more than the exemption fee — and it saves you months.
The £30 registration fee is not the only thing you pay in year one.
ACCA charges an annual subscription of £140 (about ₹18,200) to keep your student status active. After your first year it is invoiced in November and due by 1 January. Here is the part many blogs skip: your first subscription depends on when in the year you register. If you register early enough to sit at least three exam sessions that year, you pay that year’s subscription along with the registration fee.
In plain terms — register in 2026 in time for the June, September and December sessions, and you pay the 2026 subscription as well as the £30. Register after June, and only two sessions are left, so your first subscription is the one for 2027. It does not change what you pay over the whole course, but it changes what leaves your account in month one. Budget for about ₹3,900 alone or about ₹22,100 together, depending on when you register.
On that last point: December 2026 standard entry closes 2 November 2026 and late entry closes 9 November 2026. Late entry pushes an Applied Skills paper from £151 to £387 — about ₹30,700 extra, for the same exam in the same seat. Register early enough that your ACCA ID arrives before the standard deadline.
ACCA sets the exams. It does not teach them. Tuition comes from learning partners and coaching institutes, and that fee is separate from everything above. But registering with ACCA through a learning partner can bring hefty discounts on the registration fee, exemption fees and first-year annual subscription — so much of what you spend on coaching with a learning partner is covered by the discount. The one-time initial registration fee is £30, about ₹3,900. ACCA also charges an annual student subscription of £140 (about ₹18,200). If you register early enough in the year to sit at least three exam sessions — for example in time for June, September and December — you pay that year’s subscription too; register after June and your first subscription is for the following year. Registering through an ACCA Approved Learning Partner can bring discounts on the registration fee, exemption fees and first-year subscription.
You need proof of identity (passport, national ID such as Aadhaar, driving licence or birth certificate), your Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, your degree certificate and transcripts if you are a graduate, and any professional qualification documents such as CA Inter mark sheets. Anything not in English needs an official stamped translation.
The online form takes about 10 minutes if your documents are ready. ACCA then registers you within 5 to 7 working days when you upload everything online, or within 10 working days if you have to send documents by email. You can save an incomplete application and return to it later.
